Slice the Pie Review: Not a Scam But…

Posted on February 12, 2015January 22, 2018

My Analysis of Slice the Pie Review

I joined Slice the Pie (slicethepie.com) and I can say that this opportunity is not a scam. However, don't expect to earn a whole lot of money with it. I give it a mixed review. Read on...

UPDATE 2018: SliceThePie.com has changed its business model and is a general survey site. It no longer deals with music reviews.

How Much Can You Make With This?

This is the part that isn't so great with this service. You can make anywhere from 5 cents to 20 cents per review. It depends on how much detail you include (I found some annoyances with this which I'll get to later).

I wouldn't expect to retire on the earnings from this website. In fact, I wouldn't even expect to pay the car loan for one month with the earnings. Again, unless you have thousands of active members all frequently reviewing songs, it's just not in the cards to make a lot of money.

If you really want to learn about a program that has the potential to make you several hundreds of dollars and up, use enter a valid email address in the blue box on the right.

So Why Even Bother with Slice the Pie?

Slice the Pie was set up to help musicians get feedback and reviews about their music. Reviewers listen to random artists and then write a detailed review and get paid. The musicians then use this feedback to improve the songs. Slice the Pie will help artists with the best reviews by placing them with music publishers and radio air time.

So if you look at it as helping artists succeed while at the same time finding some great new music (not all of it will be) then earning money for using the site won't be a high priority for you and you will welcome the little amount of money that you get as an added bonus.

Doing it For the Money

I've already touched upon that you shouldn't expect to make a killing with this website. If you are diligent, you probably could make about $2.00 in an hour. You have to decide for yourself if that is a good payout. I have also mentioned by leaving your email in the blue box on the right, I will show you programs that can do way better than $2.00 an hour.

If you recruit others into the program, you will get a portion of your referrals' review income. If you have a lot of people this could add up to decent money. However, people soon discover in programs like these just how low paying they are and usually end up moving onto bigger and better programs. That's why even with the referral program, Slice the Pie is probably not going to make you much money.

Better Ways to Get Paid

If you are participating in Slice the Pie to help other musicians out and for your love of music, Kudos to you! That is wonderful and Slice the Pie can be a great way to discover new music and bands. Plus you are helping those musicians by giving them some much needed feedback.

However, this is a website about helping people to get paid online. But it's not just about getting paid, it's also about finding the best programs that have the potential to get you the highest amount of money. It's also about helping people steer clear of scams and programs that don't work at all.

Slice the Pie is not a program if you plan on making any substantial income. Why? Because it will take too long for the accumulated amounts to add up to anything worthwhile. And as I've mentioned, there are much higher paying opportunities available. Click here to discover the best way to write reviews for the highest paying programs.

Recap

  • Slice the Pie can be a great way to support musicians by giving them feedback to their songs
  • If you want to discover new music, Slice the Pie can help you with that
  • Slice the Pie is not a scam but is not a great way to make money online
  • There is too much work to be done for the little amount that you will get paid
  • Since you get paid for a portion of your referrals' reviews, you could make a decent amount of money off of their work, assuming they are active participants (which is not usually the case!)
  • There are definitely much better ways to make way more money online. The absolute best opportunity to come around is given below.

Update 2018 - It seems SliceThePie.com has taken a new direction and is now a survey site. That makes this entire review obsolete!
