Does Your Job Suck?
It really stinks when your job sucks. It makes it hard to trek in everyday when you know it’s one of the least satisfying parts of your day. But it is a paycheck so you endure.
Why do you continue to endure that misery?
I hate working at jobs that suck. I have had plenty of instances where that’s happened too! How many times has it happened to you? I made the switch to working for myself and I’ve never been happier.
Let me know if this is a typical scenario for you. It’s 8:30 AM and you arrive at your desk. You get excited because it’s a new day and you tell yourself this is going to be the day you turn things around at your work. So you send out some emails and then your boss comes over to your desk. He doesn’t even say hello. He just starts out with did you get so-and-so assignment complete? You answer no because it depended on another department and they were slacking off. Your boss tells you it’s no excuse and he wants it done by the end of the day!
What a moron! You let him know previously that this department was the bottleneck and he told you he would take care of it. Now he’s throwing it all on you. And you have no way to control the other department. You try giving them a call but they don’t even get back to you. You send some emails to the people you are working with in that department – but nothing. Radio silence!
You make a plea with your boss but he doesn’t want to hear it. Just get it done, he says!
The assignments ends up not getting done and you get chewed out by the boss that was supposed to take care of the situation. This kind of nonsense happens all the time and prevents you from getting a promotion.
Perhaps your scenario goes down a bit different than this but you get the general idea. Your job sucks and you want a better way!
